How to create Quote Templates & Job Templates

Imagine never having the tedious task of repeatedly entering line-item charges, supplies, pricing, number of movers and more. If you have standard items you include, Quote and Job Templates are for you.

 

What is a Quote Template or Job Template?

When creating quotes and jobs, you probably use a consistent set of rates, movers, charges, supplies and inventory. You could spend hours putting together the same quote structure or job sheet for your jobs every day. No more! With one click, apply a saved job template to any job.

Examples of Job Template use:
You can set up templates for various move sizes, move types or more. Eg..

  • Each move size quote template eg 3BR House template
  • Each Crew size templates eg 3 Men & Truck template
  • Specialized moves eg Piano Move template, Hauling Template
  • Long distance or Moves with Storage templates
  • Commercial move quote and job templates

How can I create a Job Template?
There are 2 ways to create Job Templates

SETUP METHOD: Create a Job Template from Setup:

  1. Go to Setup > Automation > Job Templates
  2. Click the names of each rate, and the amount, and select ones to make active
  3. You can reorder rates, or create more rates using the ADD ITEM button
  4. Don’t forget to SAVE (above) to save the template.
  5. Create a template from any Quote or Job page

TEMPLATE FROM A JOB METHOD

  1. Go to any Job Page, click on More and select “Create Job Template”
  2. Select the Main Elements from that Job you wish to include in the template.
  3. In the New Job Template edit page, add/edit more items you wish to include.

How to apply a Quote or Job template:

To apply Quote or Job templates, simply edit any quote or job, and on the right side, you will see a button called JOB TEMPLATES. Click the button and choose the Job Template to apply.

 

Note: Applying a Job Template will override any information in that Job or Quote.
